  This dramatic mantelpiece was inspired by Cali for her beautiful home. I've woven two types of eucalyptus, magnolia leaves, lambs ear, and cedar into our beautiful long needle white pine garlands. Look for the featured white brick fireplace photo with the harlequin reindeer to see how lovely this is in Cali's beautiful home. Lauren’s mantelpiece is also featured (with that sweet lab). You’ll see magnolia leaves revealing their colorful undersides in hers, an optional addition to add a little natural color. Finally, don’t miss Lisa’s gorgeous fireplace. Each of these was specifically crafted to Cali, Lauren, and Lisa’s individual requests. Note that Cali opted to push some of the weight of the piece onto her mantel; Lauren placed all on the face of the fireplace and wanted hers to be made a little lighter and shorter on the right, while Lisa embraced the full assymetry possible. Basically, you have lots of options for this custom piece. Check out the last shot; Jacquie wanted more symmetry without the side drop. This is a 12 foot symmetrical piece; the center of it features a cluster of rust colored magnolia.
  
  The mantelpiece featured on the white brick fireplace stretches 7 feet across (You can also see it in my home on the stone fireplace; my mantel is 6.5 feet, and you see a little extra extension on the right there) and drops dramatically four feet. It's weighty and so very impressive. The photos cannot do it justice, but the closeups help to give you a sense of the mass.
  
  Notice that in the last shot, this customer wanted the use of all of the leaf varieties, but wanted a simpler straight piece. I can make that for you, too, at any length. This customer’s mantel was quite long. Please contact me if you're interested in this type.
  
  When you think about what you want, realize that the weight of this garland is largely on the front of the mantel, rather than resting upon it. That might make a difference in your calculations. In my images, you'll see that the heaviest side can be relieved of its weight a bit, as I sometimes drape just the corner over the mantel (Cali did that in the first shot). Otherwise everything is in the foreground supported by heavy duty Command strip clear hooks. (Hobby Lobby carries them)
  
  Long needled pine garland forms the base; this garland is one of the best sellers in my shop and has lots of happy reviews...In this garland you find woven together long-needled boughs, just like those you find on white pine trees. Sizeable real pine cones, averaging 3" x 4" accent each six foot strand, which has the ability to hook to the next length without breaking the flow. Those garlands and shorter sprays also sold on my site make up the pine body of this piece.
  
  The accompanying leaves that are woven into this gorgeous piece include magnolia, eucalyptus, cedar, and a sprinkling of lambs ear. Altogether, this takes me about six hours to construct, all the while listening to a little Christmas saxophone... These are custom creations. Please reach out with the details of your house so I can make this a perfect fit for your mantel. In 2023 I will take orders for this before Halloween as constructing this lovely piece is time-intensive.

  I prefer to set up special listings for each of these to make sure our communications are perfect for you. Prices are related to the amount of materials needed to complete the work, and materials are dependent upon the length of you mantel and the length of the drop.   To make your custom piece, I'll need
  (1) the length of your mantel,
  (2) the length that you'll want it to drop on the heavy side,
  (3) the side on which you want the heavy drop (left or right?), and
  (4) the distance from the firebox to the mantel.
  
  These are custom pieces, and the current price reflects a composition of length 6 feet with a drop of 2.5 feet, which helps me calculate material. If you need something larger or smaller than that, let’s talk. The price is totally flexible 🎄
