DetailsThis rare garnet sterling silver necklace caught my eye not only for it's beauty, but for its mass. It's unusually large for a piece with antique garnets. The garnets are faceted, an oval in the center and smaller round garnets on the arms of the cross. The camera doesn't ever catch the magnificence of garnets, dark and lustrous, catching the light in such a beautiful way. So lovely.

35mm x 55mm (including bale)
1.4" x 2.2"
The chain when found:
18" twisted linked chain (Italy)
(I am not sure this is an original chain. The chain appears newer than the cross.)
Optional chains: Italian made box chains
I do not polish vintage pieces in deference to those who prefer the patina of age. However, I will do so for you after purchase per your request.
