  Sometimes you just want to start out a pearl necklace for a special little girl. This first necklace has one pearl on a sterling chain; each additional pearl might be representative of a special milestone, a birthday, a recital, a track event, a confirmation or baptism...think of all of the special events in the life of a child.
  
  The Details
  
  Starting with One:
  Initially, you are buying just that first pearl. I will put it on a silver chain to your specific length. (Please note your length desires in a note to me at checkout. Otherwise, you will receive a 15” necklace.)
  IF as you make this initial purchase, you wish to begin with more than one pearl or would like a 14K or gold filled chain, please contact me for a special listing.
  
  Add a Pearl (or Two or Three):
  When you are ready to add additional pearls to the necklace you have, make your selection and complete the purchase. When I receive your order, I will send you a prepaid label to return your current necklace to me to be re-crafted with the additions. (If at some point you just simply want to complete the rest of the necklace, contact me for a special listing.)
  
  Please Note: only choose Add a Pearl at checkout if you currently have the first necklace from me.
  
  When the necklace is complete, a full strand will be 16-18 inches, depending upon your desires.
  
  3mm-6 mm AAA grade cultured pearls.
  For the first pearl, I will use a spring clasp on the sterling chain. That’s easiest for a child. I can, however, substitute clasps if you prefer a more traditional fish shaped pearl clasp. By point of reference, the single pearl shown in the first image measures 6mm.
  
  As with all of my offerings, all handcrafted jewelry carries a firm guarantee; in fact, pearls will be restrung by me in the unlikely case that they need that care. You need only pay the postage.
