• Details
  Hazorfim is a silver company in Israel operating from 1952 to the present day. Two sweet servers from this silver maker, and both bear an old mark.
  
  Server A: A large server perfect for cakes and pies, or perfect additions to large platters. Like the other server in this piece, this bears the rose engravings first established in Germany at the turn of the 20th century. The lovely story of the Hildesheim rose can be found below.

  Server B: A lovely smaller pierced server, with the Hildesheim rose and a windmill motif...Dining elegance. I would use this size for petits fours, small sandwiches, quiche, cookies, pastries, charcuterie boards...Think Downton Abbey. Lovely serving for a bridal luncheon or baby shower, and then a delightful keepsake for the hostess.

  A word of caution...sometimes sellers advertise pieces as “silver” when they are silver plate. Be sure that you can see the mark.
  
  The story of the Hildesheim Rose, after which this piece is patterned, delights me. The pattern was produced to celebrate the thousand year old Rose at Hildesheim Cathedral, Germany. The oldest known rose alive today, it has withstood wars and time.   Since it's solid sterling silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)

  Commensurate with age, the condition is very good to excellent.
