DetailsLovely sterling silver based bud vases etched by hand from artisans seventy years ago. Elegantly simple. A charming look back on more elegant design of days done by. Note the differences in both design and base.
Made by Duchin Company in and around the 50’s, these are based in weighted sterling silver, ensuring that both the finish will never wear off, and the piece will not tip due to weight in the vase. Charming. Difficult to catch the elegance of the etching. Hope it comes through for you.

Width: 2 1/2 inches on the base
Markings:
On "Whimsy", Sterling; Duchin Creation; Weighted. (There are two of these. One has a fluted base, one base is plain)
On "Daisy", Sterling Weighted. I know that "Daisy" is also Duchin because the pattern on the base matches a pattern on a pair of Duchin stamped candle holders that I own. Fluted base.
A few tiny dents here and there, a tiny scratch shown in photos on the glass of Whimsy.
Since the base is sterling silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
No monogram.
