I became interested in these anticipating my two-year-old grandson's visit for Christmas this past year. I knew he was a fan of candles, and saw these as a perfect addition to an Advent wreath I was considering making. What a hit these were! He could not wait to help me light and then snuff them.
These candle holders are a charming look back on more elegant design of days done by. Note the differences in height, design, and base.
Most are made by Duchin Company in and around the 50s, (one by Crest Silver Company; two by revered Reed & Barton, and two by both renowned Wallace and respected Gorham) these are based in weighted sterling silver, ensuring that both the finish will never wear off, and the piece will not tip due to weight within the base. Charming. Difficult to catch the elegance of the detailing, especially as their shine wants to reflect everything in the room. Hope it comes through for you.

Style H: (convex slopes to base) PLEASE NOTE: These are the only candlesticks that are silver plated. Gorham silver plate is renowned for its quality...I love the heft of these.
Height: 5 inches
Width: 4 1/4 inches on the base
Weight: 496-510 grams
Markings: Gorham; The Gorham Symbols for Silver Plate; #YC3000. No dings...
Since all but Style H are sterling silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
No monogram. Some have a few tiny dings noted at each description, nothing of significance. Reach out if you want more pics of any of these styles. Etsy space is limited to showcase styles fully.
