Beautiful lobed antique Towle Old Colonial Sterling Silver Bon Bon Scoop Spoon with a Gilt Bowl. The pattern begins in 1895, and this could be that old; I feel it was likely made before the 1940s. I love using pieces like these every single day. Sterling silver is hypoallergenic and stands up to the acids in our salads, our berry bowls, our garnishes. A truly beautiful spoon.

Since these are solid silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
