DetailsAntique Strasbourg Sterling Silver, here in the form of a Shell Sauce Ladle, Large Shell Berry/ Casserole Spoon and a Large Cake/Pie Knife, by Gorham. Strasbourg is a true Rococo design, inspired by the Louis XV period. Gorham silversmiths are widely known for quality sterling silver in both flatware and holloware. Strasbourg is a favorite. (Photographing silver is so very difficult. Any of the color that you see here is not on the silver; it’s on my ceiling, my phone, the walls.)
The ladle: This is a beautiful sauce ladle great for dips, condiments, and well, sauces :)

SOLD: The berry spoon: also called a serving spoon, or salad spoon has a gold wash applied to the bowl, typical for berry spoons, to counteract the acids from the berries. The gold wash, due to the age of this piece, is very light now.
