  I had never seen little shovels like these before I started collecting silver. I’m very fond of them, as you can tell if you browse my shop.
  
  How do I use them? Sugar, tea and salt are typical, but I love adding them everywhere, including chutney, olive marinades, mustards, and even putting these in bowls of sprinkles when the kids are here to decorate Christmas cookies. 🌲

  A word of caution...sometimes sellers advertise these pieces as 800 silver when they are silver plate. Be sure that you can see the mark.
  
  Free of dings and dents; no monogram.
  
  Commensurate with age, the condition is very good to excellent.

  Since it's solid 800 silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
