DetailsSimply lovely. This antique pill box is just remarkable...Marble-topped, hinged, engraved with leafy flourishes, this piece is likely Italian because no other marks other than the silver quality are given us. So very beautifully made, such a keepsake to use and pass on.. Please note the couple of tiny chips on the marble top.

Since this piece is solid 800 silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. I don't even trouble with a cloth. A little polish on my thumb cleans everything to sparking new. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.) -
