Sweet individual salt cellars for your dinner party reflective of the early 20th century Empire Period, these are made from sterling silver and glass...These sweet pieces are fashioned by the Webster Company, founded in 1869 by George K. Webster, established in North Attleboro, MA, where many of the early turn of the century craftsmen set up their shops. It's so unusual to have this number together. I have five, which could serve 10. All of them having a tiny sterling silver spoon, as well.

    Lovely. Priced per piece.

I offer these and other items at a discount at my personal Etsy Pattern website. Go here to find this one: https://notbeforejava.patternbyetsy.com/shop/18216439/tableware-and-linens

Salt cellars make a great wedding gift or special piece for any silver lover, especially now as flavored salts grace many foodie tables. My favorite salt for these cellars is the flaky tasty salt made by Maldon. https://www.amazon.com/Maldon-Sea-Salt-Flakes-ounce/dp/B00017028M

    Width: 1 7/8 inches
    Height: 7/8 inch
Weight: 6 grams silver each; 3 grams for the spoon
Material: sterling silver beveled edge glass. Some have tiny little flea bites in the glass, and others are more visibly chipped. Blow up the photos to see the images more closely.
Markings: Sterling; the classic Webster mark of an arrow through the W

If you’re shopping around, watch out for salt cellars made of silver plate. These are 925 silver, not silver plate. Silver plate will not stand up to the salts and will ruin quickly...Be sure that you can see the mark.

Since these are sterling silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)

    No monogram.

Commensurate with age, the condition is good.
