• Details
  Sweet little salt spoons from the turn of the century.Each differs in mark; one is sterling (925) and two cherubs that resemble each other bear the 835 silver mark.
  
  These can be found on my personal Etsy page at a discount. Contact me if you're interested.
  
  The cherubs:
  One of the cherubs is marked ALBO, and is made by Albert Bodemer, of Ellmendingen-Keltern, Germany, circa 1950.
  The one cherub marked AB is made by August Betz circa 1930s in a town called Schwäbisch Gmünd in Germany. I tell the difference on the front between these two as the Betz spoon has more defined edges on the cherub and the Albo cherub has a bit more hair.
  The effect of them in salt cellars is just charming.
  
  The sterling spoon:
  The sterling spoon differs a bit, no cherub, just a sweet, well-defined design, marked sterling.
  
  The 800 silver spoons:
  These are sweet little European spoons by the nature of the silver content: 800/1000. No other identifying marks are there, but I think they're so sweet.
  
  I have guessed at the ages of these, as this piece is similar to others I own from this period.
  
  Commensurate with age, the condition is very good to excellent.

  Since these are solid 835 or sterling silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
