• Details
  From Sir Walter Raleigh to a woman playing with a creature to a stylized little box, these sweet little boxes delight. Use them for pills, gum for the kids, mints, whatever your heart desires, and be delighted every time you see it.
  
  Decidedly Italian, these hinged boxes are comprised of 800 silver, the European standard for silver. Two are Italian, and I believe the third to be, as well, as the German silversmiths of the day would have added a crown and scythe to the silver mark.
  
  Since it's 800 silver, its original beauty can be returned with a simple polish. It will never rust or degrade. Its clasp is secure without being difficult to open, a charming piece for all of us who like to keep additional meds handy. And SO much more safe for us than those ugly plastic caddies!   Since these pieces are solid 800 silver, you don't have to worry about the finish wearing off with use. A simple polish removes any accumulating tarnish. I don't even trouble with a cloth. A little polish on my thumb cleans everything to sparking new. (I prefer Hagerty Silversmith's wash with a tarnish preventative. Avoid using silver dips; they'll remove the lovely patina that gathers in the crevices to enhance the detail of these pieces.)
